My volunteering work with P.C.E.F. A short review about my experience with P.C.E.F.: We had a spontaneous and quick communication with the founder of this school, and because of this it was possible to support the school for some days. Pagna, the founder, and his family were pretty kind and did everything necessary to make sure we were happy there. We had a great time! Regarding the school, everybody was so happy that we spent time there. It wasn't so important to have experience in English and teaching. They focused on the possibility for their students to practice English. We also had the opportunity to do some lessons by ourselves, and to structure these completely freely. Pagna was open to any questions. We had a great time there and felt really welcomed with many insights in the life of the people there. I wish i had been there for a longer time. Thanks to all of you, see you in the future!

Trip to Tonle Sap Lake While strolling along the Kampong Phluk fishermen’s village during our trip to Tonle Sap Lake in Siem Reap last week, we were drawn towards a makeshift school where a local teacher was apparently teaching English to the children. As I stopped to take a peek, reading the signs and saw what 20 dollars could contribute to the school, I donated. The kids seeing our family were very thrilled, Ramona and Rayna were also excited, so the teacher @Pagna Nhim called us in to speak with the kids. The little chitchat we had with the kids was a great moment for all of us ... to see the hope and sparkle in the childrens’ eyes. With education I believe children will have better opportunities and surely find their way out of the poverty cycle. If you want to help do visit the Pagna Cambodian Education Fund website.

Authentic Cambodian Village Experience for a Good Cause I went as part of a school group to visit the village and school. The teachers are dedicated to their jobs and the children are eager to learn(and adorable). Everyone wants to practice their English, so they love having visitors. We spent a few hours cycling around and seeing local sites and then taught English classes. Sure you can't change the world with a couple of hours or English class, but playing games and interacting with the children mixes up their day and gives them a little more exposure to a language that could help them get jobs in the future.

Very interesting 2 day tour Our two day tour was brilliant! Our driver met us at the airport and was helpful throughout the trip. We spent a few hours going round the area on bikes and meeting locals which was interesting. In the afternoon our international students helped deliver English lessons and games to local children which was an excellent and rewarding experience. Day 2 we saw Angkor Wat at sunrise and enjoyed a morning tour of the temples- going back to the school again in the afternoon to help in class again. The trip was excellent value for money; food was great (we ate at the village twice) and the people very welcoming. Highly recommended!

Great insight into real issues and real people Pagna's dedication, passion to bringing education to his community is without bounds. The insight from this trip really demonstrated the complexity of the issues but with very little he has made a significant difference. Truely amazing work.

Informative Conversation with Pagna who is doing great work in his community We went on a daytrip to Kompong Phluk and just happened to stop by to say hello at Pagna Cambodian Education Fund--and we were so glad we did! Pagna was very welcoming and really enriched our understanding of local life in Kompong Phluk. Although we regrettably were not able to stay for the English classes (kids were arriving just as we departed), Pagna is clearly dedicated to serving his community and he deserves support from volunteers and donors. Please support this organization if you can.
