My name is Sin Sopheakdey, I am 17 years old. I was born in Kork Kdol Village, Kampong Phluk Commune, and now live in Lvea Village, Trapang Thom Commune. Growing up in a rural community, access to education has always been both a challenge and a dream. With determination—and the incredible support from the Pagna Cambodian Education Fund (PCEF)—I have been able to continue my studies and work toward building a brighter future.
I am currently in my second year at Build Bright University (BBU) in Siem Reap, majoring in Literature. Alongside my studies, I proudly serve as a teacher at PCEF, a role I have held since 2022. Teaching the children in my community is deeply meaningful to me because I was once a PCEF student myself. Returning as a teacher allows me to give back and inspire the next generation, just as I was inspired.
Reaching this stage of my education has only been possible through the generosity and support of PCEF. I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity, which has shaped my journey and strengthened my hope for the future. My dream is to complete my final years of university and graduate with a bachelor’s degree. To achieve this, I hope to find a kind sponsor who can help me continue my studies until I reach graduation.
I believe education has the power to transform lives. With the knowledge I gain, I am committed to giving back to my community and helping open doors for the children of Kampong Phluk, so they too can follow their dreams.
